10:23pm. MVFD was dispatched to a residence in the Farview Rd area for a reported electrical burning odor inside the residence.

Companies quickly located the source and isolated the power to the outlet.

MVFD would like to remind everyone that during the holiday season you need to be mindful not to over load power supply strips while powering your decorations. Also with the weather turning colder portable space heaters are not to be plugged into power strips or extension cords, they must be plugged directly into a wall outlet and placed at least 3 feet away from any combustible materials.
