At 5:33pm MVFD was dispatched to a residence on Drewville Road for a reported residential structure fire. The resident called 911 to report an odor of something burning with a haze inside the residence.

Companies arrived and through their investigation located the source within the basement ceiling. MVFD was on scene for approximately 40 minutes attempting to locate the source.

MVFD was assisted on scene by Carmel Police Department, NY and Yorktown Heights Volunteer FD (FAST TEAM) who are automatically dispatched to our district for any reported structure fires.
