It is carnival time and MVFD once again had the honor of hosting its annual special event for Parkside Preschool, and Mahopac Central School District children.
Every year MVFD makes special time for the children with special needs that may not be able to handle the large crowds we get on our regular carnival operating hours.
Every year MVFD requests members set aside additional time for the one daytime event from 11am to 1pm so we can welcome the children on their level. Members make time to welcome the children and serve them a lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers after they had time to ride some of the rides that are made available to them to enjoy.
This has been a great partnership between MVFD and the Mahopac School District for many years and the members look forward to this day during carnival season every year. We hope everyone that attended enjoyed themselves. |
